Where I Lost Her by T. Greenwood Review!!

Where I Lost Her by T. Greenwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I don't know where to start so I'll start with the cover. I love it! Everyone says you can't judge a book by the cover.. and to an extent I think that's true.. but the cover is what makes you WANT to pick up the book to read the back. This cover definitely drew me in!

I love T. Greenwood's writing. I've been a fan of her for a few years now after I found her book Grace (still one of my all time favorites). I can't compare her writing to anyone because it is truly just her. The world she created for Where I lost Her was at times dark and hopeless, every now and then we'd get a glimpse of something good happening.

The story as a whole I loved it. I love the suspense. It is beautifully written.

Tess is in her mid forties and desperately wants a baby. 8 years ago Tess & Jake went through the motions of adoption a baby and it fell through horribly.

When Tess sees a little girl in only a tattered tutu & lady bug rain boots she tries to help her but she runs into the woods. She follows her but doesn't get anywhere so she goes to the police and they start searching.

Lt. Andrews.. I wanted to punch repeatedly.. I'm serious. He doesn't believe Tess, he thinks she's hallucinating and doesn't nothing to help find the little girl. I hate him.

I would've have like to see more between her and Jake.. but honestly I loved the story the way it was.

The side characters were great as well. Tess definitely needed to lean on her best friend Effie. I love their friendship their "sisterhood". The bond they have is great. Love Plum and Zu Zu! What crazy names but they fit perfectly!

I can't wait to get the paperback! I know it's gorgeous!

*I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.*
