Resisting the Rebel by Lisa Brown Roberts BOOK REVIEW!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hooked from the first few pages! Such a great book!

"..too bad, because even though she was everything he hated about high school wrapped up in one sparkly package, she was still intriguing"

It was a short, fluffy read and I loved every bit of it. Cliches included! Yeah it was a little predictable, but every now and then you want those kind of books and I needed it!

Caleb and Mandy are so freakin' cute! I love how you could feel the attraction between them from the very beginning even though they are such polar opposites!

I think everyone loves a bad boy and thats what Caleb Torres comes off as. Mandy is attracted to the "good guy" Lacrosse guy.. so why does she keep thinking of the Demon?

"Sometimes the scariest villains look the most innocent. And heroes don't always wear white."

Keep Me Posted by Lisa Beazley BOOK REVIEW!

Keep Me Posted by Lisa Beazley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Keep Me Posted was an enjoyable read. I liked that fact that it's more like a diary then anything else. It had me hooked wanting to know how everything was going to play out.

I love the relationship between Sid & Cassie. Sister's who just wanted to keep in contact by writing letters. Which I have to say is one of the reasons I picked up this book. I love books that are slightly different or have things like letters in them. There's not a lot out there so I was happy to read this one.

I didn't really connect with the characters though. Cassie came off a little whiney to me and I felt bad for Leo. They didn't communicate and I think that's why they were in the position they were in.

Overall it's a good read and if you like diary type books you should read this one!

From Here to Home by Marie Bostwick BOOK REVIEW!

From Here To Home by Marie Bostwick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Going into this book I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. I mean it sounded really good but the whole quilter aspect threw me a bit.

Even though it was a big part of the book, I really liked the quilting aspect! Which really surprised me!

It didn't take me long to really get into it though. Mary Dell is such a fun character, she really would be the life of the party. I really liked Holly. I think she might have been my favorite in this story, but then again I liked Rob Lee too.

From Here To Home wasn't just a simple story. It had different issues weaved throughout. Like her son Howard having Down Syndrome and learning to cope with him wanting his own independence. Rob Lee and Stormy the horse both suffering from PTSD.

And I have to mention that I love Robyn Carr and when I saw that she did the little blurb on the cover I knew I had to read it!

From Here To Home is full of friends, family, new love, challenges, old love and humor! You should read it!

No Falling Allowed by Melissa West BOOK REVIEW!

No Falling Allowed by Melissa West
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"One mind-blowing, soul-wrenching perfect night that had shaken me from my head to my toes, and now it was like my body didn't know how to function."

I loved this book! No Falling Allowed is my first Melissa West book and it will not be my last! I loved her writing! I love Grace & Noah! Swoons I love Noah! Sexy, sweet, AND a southern guy! I could read a whole series with just him! I love how strong and confident Grace was! She's definitely not the type to let anything get her down...well for long anyways!

I wish this book were longer! I want more!

No Falling Allowed was so well written and even though Grace and Noah come from completely different backgrounds.. on some level they are both relate-able and I love that!

"Oh my God. Oh my God! In less than twenty-four hours I would be in the same town as the guy who'd single-handedly rocked my world...and then shattered my pride."

The Girls in the Garden by Lisa Jewell BOOK REVIEW!

The Girls in the Garden by Lisa Jewell
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was my first book by Lisa Jewell and I enjoyed it.

The characters were great, I love how she writes, it definitely made me feel like I was there.

When I first started it I thought I knew what was going on but the story itself is a lot more complicated than you would think. I love books make me think and this book did that.

Good read! I'd totally recommend!

Where I Lost Her by T. Greenwood Review!!

Where I Lost Her by T. Greenwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I don't know where to start so I'll start with the cover. I love it! Everyone says you can't judge a book by the cover.. and to an extent I think that's true.. but the cover is what makes you WANT to pick up the book to read the back. This cover definitely drew me in!

I love T. Greenwood's writing. I've been a fan of her for a few years now after I found her book Grace (still one of my all time favorites). I can't compare her writing to anyone because it is truly just her. The world she created for Where I lost Her was at times dark and hopeless, every now and then we'd get a glimpse of something good happening.

The story as a whole I loved it. I love the suspense. It is beautifully written.

Tess is in her mid forties and desperately wants a baby. 8 years ago Tess & Jake went through the motions of adoption a baby and it fell through horribly.

When Tess sees a little girl in only a tattered tutu & lady bug rain boots she tries to help her but she runs into the woods. She follows her but doesn't get anywhere so she goes to the police and they start searching.

Lt. Andrews.. I wanted to punch repeatedly.. I'm serious. He doesn't believe Tess, he thinks she's hallucinating and doesn't nothing to help find the little girl. I hate him.

I would've have like to see more between her and Jake.. but honestly I loved the story the way it was.

The side characters were great as well. Tess definitely needed to lean on her best friend Effie. I love their friendship their "sisterhood". The bond they have is great. Love Plum and Zu Zu! What crazy names but they fit perfectly!

I can't wait to get the paperback! I know it's gorgeous!

Knot by M. Mabie REVIEW!

Knot (Wake Family, #1)Knot by M. Mabie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"I wish I could mute my memories of her, but that laugh will haunt me forever."

I couldn't want to dive into this book! It didn't disappoint!

Before I read it, I wasn't sure what to think about Nora. I guess I had a different picture of her in my head. I loved being able to get into her head as well as Reggie's. I really liked seeing their relationship from start to finish! Man, it was hard to read though! I mean you could feel the tension coming off the page.

"Take all of me. Even ugly parts that don't deserve you."

My stomach was in knots (pun intended) from start to finish. I didn't know how it was going to play out so I think I was just as nervous as Reggie!

"I needed stability because my center of gravity had fallen to the floor."

I ended up really loving Nora. She is such a troubled soul. I think more so than Reggie. I LOVE the push and pull of their relationship. The power struggle between the two .. oh my god. I love that she reads cookbooks! I know that's random but I loved it!

"This kiss was the lightning you see before a storm, and I prepare myself for all hell to break loose."

M. Mabie does it again with Knot! I loved it!

The Best Friend Bargain by Robin Bielman REVIEW!

The Best Friend BargainThe Best Friend Bargain by Robin Bielman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Holy mouthfest, he could kiss. He'd left her dizzy, stirred up, breathless.."

To say I loved this book would be an understatement. I was looking for a short read so I picked up The Best Friend Bargain. I loved the blurb so I couldn't wait to dig in. Wow.. just wow.

After finding out she's pregnant and her "boyfriend" doesn't want anything to do with her or the baby, she runs right into the arms of her best friend Danny.

So much emotion packed into such a great story. I found myself getting teary eyed a lot reading it. Most of it was because Danny is so darn sweet! I mean he just keeps saying the right things. If I was Olivia, I'd be a blubbering mess.

I love the banter between Liv & Danny!

"He might be six foot one with muscle to spare, but when it came to the supernatural, he caved like a baby."

I wish this book was longer! Like way longer! I wanted more!

This was my first book by Robin and it will not be my last. I can't wait to read more from her!

Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn REVIEW!

Nine Minutes (Nine Minutes, #1)Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"That was how I coped with all of it. Always had. I stayed away physically and emotionally."

I honestly don't know where to start. When a friend demanded recommended that I read this book, I wasn't sure what I was going to walk into. I knew nothing about it I just started reading. This book definitely messed with my head.

I still hadn't made up my mind on what I thought about it and I was halfway through it. Nine minutes definitely questions your morals.. well it did mine. I found myself going back and forth with the same questions. Why isn't she fighting it? How is she falling for him?

There's soooo many twists and turns you forget which way is up. My only complaint is that I did get confused with the time hops and nicknames and found myself going back to look at a certain event or whatever multiple times.

Kit. I liked her from the beginning. She seemed like such a strong character even when she was in the situations she was in. She's brave.

Grunt. I really really liked him.

Grizz. SO MANY THINGS! I don't even know how to describe him...

Moe. I want to know more.

Blue. Intrigues me.

OVERALL Great book! Great writing! Can't wait to read Out of Time!

Out of Time by Beth Flynn REVIEW!

Out of Time (Nine Minutes, #2)Out of Time by Beth Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"He was either the most caring and generous man in the world, she decided, or he was stone cold crazy."

Immediately after reading Nine Minutes I had to grab Out of Time. I had to know what was happening!

Out of Time is a book that stays with you. It isn't something you can put down and walk away from. It holds you hostage.

If I thought Nine Minutes had twists... man Out of Time is a roller coaster of twists and turns! Everything you think you know.. .you got it wrong.. EVERYTIME.

I still love Kit. I loved seeing Kit, Grizz and Grunt's childhoods. I love how everything is weaved together. All the secrets, the deceptions, hope and the faith that these 3 characters hid/share. It's crazy.

I love Kit & Tommy together. You can tell how much he cares for her and how much he's in love with her.

I loved seeing a glimpse into Grizz's childhood. How he became who he is today. He adapted to his environment which was complete crap. I felt bad for all three of them, none of them really had any good influences in their life.

THE LAST LINE OF THIS BOOK... OMG

A Gift of Time by Beth Flynn REVIEW!

A Gift of Time (Nine Minutes, #3)A Gift of Time by Beth Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"My mind and heart were at war with each other. I couldn't fathom my feelings, so I gave into them."

What a ride! A Gift of Time was the perfect ending to the Nine Minutes trilogy!

I could not put this book down! I needed to get to the end!

There's so much going on! I really like Mimi. She is very interesting to me. I think she has a story to tell and I have my fingers crossed we get to see her in a spinoff!

In Gift of Time .. there's a lot of feel good moments near the end and I have to say that's my favorite. I even teared up a bit. I wish it was longer.

I'm not sure what else to say about this book because I don't want to give anything away!

Just know that it ties up the loose ends perfectly!
