About DL Gallie

I’m from Queensland in Australia but I have lived all around the world. I’m currently living in Gladstone with my husband and two kids. I’ve been with my husband since I was 16, and even though we drive each other nuts at times, I couldn’t imagine my life without him. I got back into reading just after I had my son and with some encouragement from my husband I started to write, and now the voices won’t stop. I enjoy listening to music, drinking white wine in Summer, Red wine in Winter, beer all year round, I won’t say no to a cocktail either (specifically a margarita), reading and now writing.

Until Harry by L. A. Casey BOOK REVIEW!

Until Harry by L.A. Casey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"A girl protecting her heart from possible love- what could conceivably go wrong?"

Coming home is hard for Lane. Hard because her beloved uncle Harry has died suddenly, but also because of him. Kale.

Kale Hunt has been her best friend since childhood. But it was never that simple. He was Lane’s reason for leaving home and moving to New York. Seeing him with someone else, in love with someone else, shouldn’t have hurt. But it did. It really, really did. So she upped sticks and left, started a new life and cut herself off from her past.

But now she’s back and all the feelings are right there. As if she had never left.

Emotions are running high, and tragedy has a funny way of bringing people together. But is Lane reading the signs right? Are they still just friends, or is there something more?

Until Harry started off a little slow for me. I didn't really start to get into the book until about half way through. Man, I'm so glad I stuck around because I ended up loving this book!

Lane & Kale .... so much emotion.. I bawled my eyes out. Until Harry isn't just a simple love story.. It's so much more...so complex..

"Laney, baby"

Being best friends with Kale isn't easy. Her feelings for Kale are definitely not sisterly.. and their age difference growing up doesn't help. When one night in particular happens..Lane is over the moon. She thinks everything is perfect...she's going to get what she wants...but that changes when the sun comes up.

Lane has to watch as Kale dates other girls and eventually falls in love with one. She can't take the heartbreak of watching him live his life with another girl. So she runs. She runs to get away from Kale, from the first boy to break her heart.

"I lived and breathed Kale Hunt, and it was killing me."

When she returns home 6 years later.. all the feelings she had for Kale are exactly the same.

Gahhh I loved this book! I would really love to read Kale's POV. Until has everything you want in a book.. well at least for me! It has the tension, the angst, it had me laughing, it had me crying.. I was all over the place!

Other than the main characters Lane & Kale.. I really enjoyed Harry. He seemed like such a great person. I absolutely loved Roman! I wish there was more of him.

Overall.. .go read the darn book! I promise you won't be sorry!!!

Norse mythology meets bikers meets love where it isn't supposed to exist.

Statuesque, blonde and beautiful, Mist is the epitome of Norse perfection. As leader of the Valkyries, she's been sent to Walhalla, South Carolina by Odin himself...

The Valkyries’ objective is clear: gather the souls of biker warriors for Ragnarok; the war at the end of the world.

Hammer is the president of Odin's Ravens MC, and as dark as Mist is fair. He's going to need help from Mist and the Valkyries to keep the Iron Barbarians from taking over the state.

The Valkyries aren't supposed to get involved, and Mist isn't supposed to fall in love. Add in the complications from witches, trolls, and some trouble-making nightmare Maras and Odin's army of souls may soon have reserves.

Breaking Through by Calista Smith BOOK REVIEW!

Breaking Through by Calista Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“No one would ever know that underneath all my layers, a love I’d never forgotten, but lost before it ever had a real chance to be mine was being smothered and left to die.”

After reading Breaking Away I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Breaking Through! One thing that I noticed from the very beginning of the book is that Rocky has grown up A LOT! I love that she is so grown up! She’s been through a lot of crap so of course it’d make sense that she’d have to grow up.

So many emotions in this book! Breaking Through is so well written and the characters feel so real! I love when I can read a book and I’m able to relate to the character somehow. I love that connection. The world that Calista creates definitely keeps you entertained. You’re hooked from the very first pages!

“How could two people feel so strongly about each other and get it so very wrong? We got it all wrong.”

I found myself holding my breath throughout the book, with the emotions and the tension I wasn’t sure how it was going to play out so of course I had it devoured in no time!

“..He reached through my back and yanked my heart from my chest, dragging it out through my shoulder and leaving me to burn in painful flames…”

The scenes with Rocky and Dante together unnerved me. With all their history they want to avoid each other at all costs but with having to share their god daughter. They are thrown together quite a few times. I loved seeing Nat & Aiden! They are such great friends to Rocky throughout everything! I love their little girl! She’s so freaking adorable!

“Hope and faith were beginning to replace fear, and the two of them together were an even stronger fuel than I could’ve ever imagined.”

I’ve never liked Neal through the series. It’s no secret I’ve always been #TeamDante but I have to admit in Breaking Away he was exactly what Rocky needed.. And what Neal needed as well. But as I read Breaking Through I still didn’t know what was going to happen!

Overall Breaking Through was a great book that you need to read!
